In
January 2007 I visited Thailand starting in
Bangkok from where I took an excursion to Kanchanaburi on
the site of the infamous bridge over the River Kwai and the start of the 'Death
Railway'.
From
Bangkok, I then went through Ayutthaya and U-Thani to
Phitsanulok.
Then
via Sukhothai Historical Park up to Chiangrai
in
the Golden Triangle, including a brief visit to Laos and the Myanmar border.
Continuing
north to Chiangmai and the experiences of Elephant riding
and Bamboo rafting.
I
then flew south to finish off at the beach resort of Pattaya.
