Tram at Ecclesall terminus on the last day of tram operation, 25th March 1954.

My first camera was a VP Twin, which took 16 photographs on a 127 roll film.  The results were just a little larger than a 35mm frame.  It had a fixed focus and aperture meniscus lens and one shutter speed.  It cost seven shillings and sixpence (thirty seven and a half decimal pence). This photograph at Ecclesall was taken with this simple camera on the last day of tram working in 1954.

My second camera was a Kodak folding 620 camera, which took 8 photographs on a 620 roll film.  It had two shutter speeds and an f6.5 aperture lens.  In 1961, I bought an Agfa Super Silette 35mm camera, and from then on took colour slides only.  Photos of Sheffield in the 50's and 60's are in one album.

Mayfield Valley in October 1964.

Sheffield Cathedral floodlit, Christmas 2000.

About 1980 I obtained an Olympus OM1n manual 35mm camera with interchangeable lenses.

Then in 1999, I ventured into digital photography with an Olympus Camedia C-900ZOOM.

in 2004 I obtained a more advanced digital camera, being a Fuji FinePix S5500.
