I was fortunate to partake the trip of a lifetime to visit Antarctica over the Christmas 2006 and New Year 2007 holiday period. I flew out to Santiago in Chile, and the next day to flew down to Punta Arenas to embark on M/S Nordkapp to cruise through the Chilean Fjords past Cape Horn to the Antarctica, visiting the South Shetland Islands, the Antarctic Peninsular, sailing in the Lemaire Channel and then round into the Weddell Sea, before returning via Drake Passage to Ushuaia in Argentina. I then flew up to Buenos Aires for a few days, before returning home.
